Installation Overview |
Our custom sign monument products are easy to install. In short, half of the steel pipes go up into the receiving holes in the monument, the other half of the steel pipes go down into the ground (footers).
Note: Be certain to measure the steel pipe and check the height that goes above grade (the ground), as well as the depth that goes below grade.
For example: If your monument is 5 foot tall, dig your footer holes deep enough to allow at most 4 foot of steel pipe to go up into the monument (above grade). We manufacturer our sign monuments to allow "variance" in digging footer depth, but be certain to dig deep enough as not to punch through the top of the monument. Cut each steel pipe to proper length before adding expanding adhesive (above grade) and pouring concrete (below grade - footers).

While our sign monuments do not require a concrete "pad," we will illustrate the worst-case installation. This monument was installed on a steep grade, so the customer chose to pour a concrete base for best visibility.
